Koffi Assale Andre was the leader and conductor of the famous Ernesto Djedje’s band. He was first a policeman in Abidjan and played with "L'Orchestre de la Gendarmerie d'Abidjan". He had a Pop career, starting in a band called "Soul Guès". He also worked with Zakri Noël on his ‘Aurore Ivoirienne’ album, known for its hit single "Super Yohou". He was part of audiorama and became a chief orchestra. In 1978, he recorded the 2nd volume of “Le Roi du Ziglibithy”, and then his solo album. His nickname, "Best", came from the fact that he always gave the best of himself.
