He was a famous bass player and singer supported by Francis Kinsley on solo guitar, Mohamed C Cherif on organ, Mike Domkor on trumpet, Georges "Happi" Deulemkan on drums, Roger Nahum on sax, and Jean Claude Kongnon on tumba.

This title means "the trip" in a Cameroonian dialect. Atangana aka "the prince" was raised in Douala (Cameroon). From an early age, his inspiration has come from Soul music and Jazz, with genius such as Miles Davis or Coltrane, but also from authentic African folklore.

His main quote was "Music is a beat, and without a beat there's no life". Since "Onguido" was recorded, Atangana has disappeared from the Ivory Coast for a destination that’s still unknown.
